PLAGUE; August 1
Plague was a great time, as usual! I can always count on that.
Lots of weird though...
I got in to Portland and there were hundreds of people roaming the streets (I was later told it was due to "1st Friday Artwalk" of which I'd had no familiarity,) a nightmarish amount of seagulls overhead that were in a frenzy, and the misty air was rife with the smell of fish! Ah, the sweet scent of "fish-mist" then coating my skin, I went to Subway to get a sandwich and they had NO TOMATOES or CUCUMBERS?!?!? That's all I put on my turkey subs! At least they didn't charge me for double-meat and the girl working had cute purple hair. I invited her to Plague but she never came.
At the club, we ran into a couple of technical difficulties. One CD player wasn't reading my discs. So, after one transition to dead-air, I did what I should always think to do first from now on; turned it off and on again! With that problem solved, we still had a weird time keeping our sound levels loud enough. We didn't figure out how to fix that problem until the very end of the night, but at least I'll know where to look to fix that next time and it didn't ever bring anything to a screeching halt, so it was fine.
Those problems being all they might have been (distinctively as learning experiences,) the night was still a lot of fun with many of the friendly faces I enjoy visiting Maine for. A new friend from New York came for her second time and there was birthday cake for Janice who was blissfully dancing through the night. I had no cake, personally, as I'm watching my figure (haha) for Gothic Maine's upcoming Fashions From The Darkside Fashion Show on September 19 where I'll be modeling some new male stuff from Blue Alvarez!
(Yes, that's right I'm modeling... I'm laughing about it too... laughing through every ab workout I'm doing to tighten my soft flabby belly!)

Outside of rocking a bunch of great music I like to dance to, Gabriell also recorded our sets. Unfortunately, because of the sound problem, those recordings were over-modulated and we have little hope they will be worth review. I'm thinking I may get one of those digital recorders and attempt to recreate my sets at home; I was pretty excited to see how they would sound.

Like I said, I can always count on Plague to be a great time! I'm there next as a model for the FFTD Fashion show I mentioned above, and again as a DJ with Gabriell on October 3rd!
For now, I have like 3 weeks off from DJ'ing until Haven on October 26.

Here are my sets from the night.
