Plague rocked!
It had been far too long since I had spun with The Reverend Benjamin Powers and it was a supremely good time!
It was the good Reverend's birthday as of midnight and we celebrated with a simply awesome Tag-Team between us! I tend to really enjoy tag-teaming at Plague anyway, but this was something special beyond doubt!
As usual, "Old School" never means what I expect it to, but I felt it out by way of a number of great requests and pulling primarily from the cd's I used to build my library when I started club DJ'ing in the New England area. So I think I held the format well enough while also keeping the floor hot.
Ok, as I look at my list I see that I was pumping a lot of "power-hits," but it kept the floor moving, so I'm not going to complain about not taking more risks. Thankfully, I don't think anyone else would either. :)
Overall, super energy, tons of great response and a real good technical night for me as well!
No word yet on my next Plague date but the Reverend and I both agree; we HAVE to do this again!
Meanwhile, this coming Tuesday, November 18, I head back to Haven in Northampton MA for The Immortal Tour where I'll be spinning along side DJ Damian Plague between performances by I:scintilla, The Azoic, Bella Morte and The Crüxshadows!!!!!
My role is to drop the swirly and down-tempo while DP rocks the base-heavy and industrial! It's gonna be sweet!
