Recap: Haven - Election Night 11.4

HAVEN; November 4

There are moments you look back on and remember where you were during some significant historical moment.
I'm very proud to say, that when Barack Obama was elected the 44th President of the United States of America, I was spinning at Haven wearing my homemade "Goths For Obama" sticker!
Even if I don't remember that some day in the future, at least now I've left this nifty journal entry as a record of the event!

As for the party itself, while turn out was lower than last week's Halloween party (as one might expect,) those in attendance had such AMAZING energy and were packing the dance floor as early as 9:30! I have to give some props to Jipsi who always comes early enough to dance during my first set, but this time she brought a bunch of others along with her and really rocked my world!
I'm just glad my sets didn't disappoint and I was able to hit a lot of the requests that she and others made.
Clearly it was a night for celebration, even before anyone knew for sure who would win, and I was thrilled to get such a tremendous response while spinning!
We even stopped down the music near the end of my second set for Obama's speech but people jumped right back to the floor immediately!

Tuesday, November 18, I head back to Haven in Northampton MA for The Immortal Tour!
I'll be spinning along side DJ Damian Plague between performances by
I:scintilla, The Azoic, Bella Morte and THE CRUXSHADOWS!!!!!
