Recap: Haven 7.5.11 (Pirates Ball)

Very fun night at Haven!
I got to work for the return of Purple & Azrael, both of whom I spun with for the last night before they went on their individual hiatuses. I know I'm glad they're back!
I filled some gaps in my library and replaced a number of tracks I needed, so it was exciting to go in a few directions I've not been able to previously. It seems to have helped to keep the things kinetic.
I also got a chance to drop some new tracks, though not as many "pirate" tracks as I'd planned for. Some worked well; one required a creative escape but was not devastating. I'm still learning but I'm happy enough with my overall progress for the night.
I saw a lot of people I haven't seen in a while, but I really didn't get a chance to talk to all that many of them, though I did meet some new faces (or was perhaps reintroduced in a way that made the memory more lasting this time around :P ) and had an eye-opening and fun conversation with one group of friends.
As I say, very fun night!
