New England Scene Darkly is a monthly look at our ever-changing scene with an active list of links so you can get more details on where you can go dancing in clubs or events that play music relative to our mutual interests.
For some, this is just a reminder of when their favorites happen. For others, it's a fresh look at things to do they may not have been aware of. No matter which you are, please get out and support our scene to keep it alive and enjoyable for everyone involved!

Here's the News & known One-Shots...
* Jaded in Lowell will present a special New Years Eve One-shot Party on December 31, additional to its regular monthly event. Details at Jaded's website listed below or from the Facebook invite page at this link!
* Dominia has changed their website address as expected after their return to Providence at their new location. The link is updated below and on the calendar.
* Plague in Maine will close for X-mas Eve but shows scheduling for the Thursday of that week and New Years Eve.
* Heroes in Cambridge will close for X-mas Day but will have a New Years Eve and New Years Day party (which falls on its regular Saturday night schedule.) Look for the details at one of their links below.
* Ulteria will also be open for New Years Day, as regularly scheduled.
(Just mentioning the NYD events now cause January's NESD post may be late.)
That is all I have for December news, changes, and additions. If I hear of any other new events or one-shots that fit the criteria, they'll go directly on the calendar where I try to update the schedule as often as I'm aware of changes or additions.
NOTE: It is the holiday season and we're moving into winter months, so be sure to double check any event you plan for in case of snow-closures or the like.
