It was the first Haven of the New Year and I got to spin main set times with Azrael! A better sized crowd than I imagined came out despite concerns over snowfall and icy rain, so that was awesome! Of course, snow and ice be damned since it did cause a somewhat early bleed which is understandable, and perhaps for the best to ensure everyone with concerns made it home safe.
I put so much energy into my first set it was actually a little exhausting! I played 2 solid sets and a lot of requests. Of course I also met some challenges with a couple of less than perfect transitions, but that got me some feedback from Penelope and OTIS(?!?!?) that I found very useful and worth making the mistake just for the opportunity it gave me to learn something new from them both.
Regardless, the crowd seemed to be having a good time since I managed to keep the floor moving and that's what matters most to them both! (Oh, and I'm also proud to say that it seems I have made a hit of Spectra*Paris, Mad World since it has become a consistent request from multiple people!)
Next I'll go to spin at Club Hell's Fetish Night on Wednesday, January 21, from 9pm until 11pm when resident DJ Dank Coma takes the rest of the night! We'll also be giving away free movie passes and giveaways for the third installment of the Underworld series; Underworld: Rise of the Lycans!
Then I'll head back to Haven in Northampton MA on Tuesday, January 27 for Bloodlust (it's a Vampire Ball!) I'll be spinning along side DJs Mothra, and Damian Plague!
